Item	Description
CIF Price	Average CIF price, paid by the major importers of plantation Teak log, at the unloading location (China or India).
International Freight and Insurance	Value currently charged tor the transport of logs to Shanghai (in the formation of export prices to China) and to Calcutta (in the formation of export prices to India).
FOB Price	CIF price minus the value charged by the Maritime Freight and International Insurance.
Santos port rates, clearance and Shiprnent	Cost related to customs clearance of the goods and their shipment (table 2.08).
Strake and Phytosanitary Treatment	Log strake is necessary for its handling; strake is carried out in groups of 23 units, forming "bundies" with around 9.6 m'. Phytosanitary treatrnent is an international requirement (ISPM 15). The product used is Methyl Bromide, which is to be fumigated during 16 consecutive hours, in a maximum of 21 days before log shipment.
Direct transportation to Santos (Alternative 1)	Transport is directly carried out in field up to the Santos port. This includes loading logs at roadside in the tbrest and unloading at the Santos port.
Road-Railway Freight up to Santos (alternative 2)	Value related to merchandise transport from Cuiaba up to the Santos Port. The value incorporates loading and unloading wood costs in the carriages and trucks,
Unloading at the yard	Value paid for unloading from trucks at the yard.
Freight up lo the yard	Value paid by the road transport from the forests up to the company's warehouse/stock. In this case, an average distance of 100 Km was taken into consideration, with a freight of US$ 0.044/ton/Km. CIF
Loading in the Forest	Value paid for the loading log piles, along roadside, on the truck. The estimated value for this operation is US$ l .00/m3
Debarking	The debarking of Teak logs is carried out at roadside in the forests.
Price Along Roadside	Potential price for Floresteca Teak logs at roadside in the forests.
